Islamic unity (Vahdat) is a specific and important viewpoint of Imam Khomeini (RA) before Islamic revolution and especially after it. There are two approaches for Islamic unity that are described by Muslim thinkers. One of them is proximity of Islamic schools (Taghrib) and other is political unity. So, in this article the theory of Imam Khomeini is analysed to show the approache of Imam Khomeini about Islamic unity (Vahdat) by descriptive analytical method according to all of speech, letters, messages of Imam Khomeini. In fact, first of all, the Social Functions of Islamic unity (Vahdat) in the Thought of Imam Khomeini (RA) is determined, after that this article is shown how those functions prove that the Imam Khomeini's theory of of Islamic unity is closer to political Islamic unity than the proximity of Islamic schools امام خمینی یکی از شخصیت‌های برجسته و موثر جهان اسلام است که در قرن حاضر جهت ارتقای وضعیت موجود مسلمانان تاکید بسیاری به وحدت کرده است به نحوی که شاید بتوان گفت امر وحدت یکی از مهمترین اندیشه‌های سیاسی ایشان قبل از انقلاب و به ویژه بعد از انقلاب می‌باشد. از آنجا که وحدت در جهان معاصر اسلام به دو نوع وحدت تقریبی و وحدت سیاسی مطرح شده است لازم است که اندیشه‌های امام خمینی که داعیه دار امر وحدت میان مسلمانان است از این جهت بررسی شود. یکی از راه‌های بررسی این مقوله تطابق کارکردهای وحدت از منظر امام خمینی با این دو نوع اندیشه وحدتی می‌باشد. بر این اساس این مقاله قصد دارد با روش تحلیلی- توصیفی و با استناد به سخنان، نامه‌ها و پیام‌های ایشان این مقوله را بررسی کند. بررسی‌های این پژوهش نشان می‌دهد کارکردهای مطرح شده از منظر امام خمینی با اندیشه وحدت سیاسی مسلمانان تطابق بیشتری دارد. http://kalam.saminatech.ir/en/Article/Download/18476
