چکیده مقاله :
علامه محمد اقبال لاهوري (1938 – 1877 م)، از فيلسوفان، شاعران و احياگران بزرگ جهان اسلام بوده كه با سروده‌هاي روشنگرانه و نيز گفتارها و نوشتارهاي پرمايه‌اش، طرح فلسفه و نظامي فكري به نام «حكمت خودي» را درانداخت. وي با نفی از حكمت‌هاي بي‌فروغ غرب مدرن ، در پي نگاه واقعيت‌مدار، ژرف و ديده‌ورانة شرقي و قرآني است كه آميزه‌اي از خداباوري، فطرت، عشق، عرفان، خردورزي، خودآگاهي، حماسه، غيرت، ايثار، تپش، انتخابگري، آفرينش‌گري و ... است . دیدگاهی كه مجموعاً الهيات رهايي بخش او را شكل مي‌دهند. او با درك و دريافت دقيق و سنجيده از قرآن و سنت و با سر‌مشق گرفتن از فيلسوف مجاهد شرق، سيّد جمال‌الدين اسد‌آبادي، تقدير و مشيت الهي را – كه از ديرباز بهانه‌اي براي ركود و سازش و واپس‌گرايي بود – از تفسير‌هاي جبر‌باورانه و اشعري‌گرا رها كرد و عملاً تفسيري شيعي و برآمده از مکتب اهل بیت(ع) را كه به وفق انتخابگري، آزادي و سرنوشت‌سازي است، به‌رخ كشيد. از اين‌رو، روح شرقي را بر‌تن بي‌جان خفتگان دميد، تا بندگي قدرت‌هاي استعماري برهند و به اتحاد و اقتدار و آفرينش‌گري و پويايي و طرح و تحقق آرزوها دست‌يابند.
