The formation of the Safavid government, the strong support of the kings of this dynasty for the religion of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), and the creation of favorable social and cultural contexts has played a significant role in strengthening religious poetry. The Safavid dynasty, in accordance with their policy and their opposition to the Sunni Ottoman government, formalized the Shia religion and the spread of it. Furthermore, the Safavid kings encouraged the poets to compose poems with Shia themes and praising Shia Imams, and the result in Persian literature was the writing of poems that, instead of praising and courtly poetry, praised the saints and mentioned the virtues of the Imams and the suffering of the martyrs of Karbala. Saeb is the greatest Iranian poet of the Safavid era who had made efforts to compose beautiful Shia poems that are full of honest and dynamic emotion. In this research, which has been written in a descriptive-analytical method, the viewpoint of Saeb to this issue and how the Imams manifest in his poetry are examined. After studying and analyzing, it is found that factors such as the formation of the Safavid Shia government, the special attention of Safavid kings to the spread and promotion of Shia culture, creating a favorable social and cultural context, had an undeniable role in the spread and penetration of Shia concepts and elements. These concepts and thoughts are reflected in forms and templates. Manuscript profile
