The present article explains the anthropological theological foundations of human interaction with the environment by emphasizing the position of the human as the Caliph of God. The most important result of the research is that according to the verses of the Holy Qur’an, the environment is a phenomenon that has been created for human beings as the Caliph of God. Man is the ultimate goal of the environment around him, since man, as God's Caliph on earth, has been given special responsibilities by God, including the development of the earth, and considers any destruction and loss of the environment contrary to the responsibility of being human, and any negligence to this duty is considered an escape from responsibility.
